PRELIMINARY READING AND ADVERTISE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON APRIL 18, 2000, AT 9:30 A.M., A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING FAMILY DAY CARE FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR LICENSURE PROCEDURES, HEARING UPON DENIAL OR REVOCATION OF LICENSE, STAFF QUALIFICATIONS, BACKGROUND AND SCREENING REQUIREMENTS, SUPERVISION AND STAFFING REQUIREMENTS, DAILY PROGRAM AND DISCIPLINE, PHYSICAL FACILITIES, PREPARATION AND FOOD SERVICE REQUIREMENTS, NUTRITION, MEDICINE, FIRST AID AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES, COMMUNICABLE DISEASE CONTROL, ADMISSION AND RECORD KEEPING, CHILD CARE DURING NIGHTTIME HOURS, TRANSPORTATION, FIELD TRIPS, AND SWIMMING ACTIVITIES. APPROVED 3-21-2000

MOTION to approve the resolution on preliminary reading and to advertise for public hearing on April 18, 2000, at 9:30 a.m. Motion by Commissioner Masilotti, seconded by Commissioner Roberts, and carried 7-0.

MOTION to approve the resolution on preliminary reading and to advertise for public hearing on April 18, 2000, at 9:30 a.m. Motion by Commissioner Masilotti and seconded by Commissioner Roberts.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Frank Palen commented that his client was interested in establishing a drop-off childcare facility in his new theaters. He said he was pleased with the positive response received from County staff toward the new idea.

UPON CALL FOR A VOTE, the motion carried 7-0.

2. ADJOURNMENT
The Chair declared the meeting adjourned at 2:50 p.m.
