Wakodahatchee Wetlands Boardwalk Closed
for Maintenance: Oct. 17 through October 28

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands in suburban Delray Beach will be closed to the public October 17 through October 28 while routine maintenance work on the boardwalk is in progress.

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands are located north of Atlantic Avenue on Jog Road in suburban Delray Beach. The wetlands provide approximately 50 acres of wildlife habitat for threatened and endangered wildlife species. Native wetland plants thrive in the freshwater marsh, and more than 150 different bird species have been spotted there.

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands are owned and operated by the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department, which is a department of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, serving approximately 450,000 residents with drinking water, reclaimed water, and wastewater services.

For more information on the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, contact the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department at 561-493-6000.
