The cast glass sculpture honors the dedication and commitment of Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to the people and community. The artwork was designed to both recognize the PBSO agency, as well as define the new building entry for the Administrative Services.

The seventy-five glass panels depict literal and abstract aspects of the Sheriff’s Office, including the Palm Beach Mounted Unit, the K9 unit, the School Traffic Safety Unit, Central Records, as well as concepts such as identity theft, defense, protection, safety and faith. The center panels present a sculpted representation of the PBSO badge. The resulting contemporary quilt pattern helps reinforce the symbolism of a vibrant and diverse community.

Underscoring the sculpture is a depiction of the "thin blue line" to commemorate the fallen and to show support for the living law enforcement officers.
