​At the March 10, 2020, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action:

Fire Rescue – authorized the donation of fire-rescue equipment and supplies to 25 United, Inc. for Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in The Bahamas. Assets include an engine vehicle, a rescue vehicle, bunker coats and pants, boots, helmets, face shields, back boards, scoop stretchers, Tyvek suits, and generators. The total estimated value of these assets is $29,687. These assets being transferred are from Fire Rescue's reserve fleet and inventory and are not needed for county purposes.

Coronavirus – received an update from the Florida Department of Health-Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the Division of Emergency Management, the Sheriff's Office and the School Board on local response plans and precautionary measures regarding the coronavirus, COVID-19. As of March 10, Palm Beach County had no confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Bond referendum – discussed the proposed November environmental and water general obligation bond referendum. Staff presented a series of possible projects with estimated construction and maintenance costs, project prioritization, and current and planned public outreach activities.

Project Button – conceptually approved a cash grant of $30,000 over five years for Project Button. The company is considering expanding its offices in Palm Beach County. The project will invest $1.399 million to lease, renovate and equip an additional 16,873 square feet of space. The project will create 60 new jobs over a two-year period at an annualized average wage of $60,657 and an annualized median wage of $87,817. All new jobs must be maintained for three years after the creation date. The estimated five-year local economic impact is $80 million.

Pine Crest School – adopted a resolution approving the issuance of up to $125 million in industrial development revenue bonds for Pine Crest Preparatory School. The independent co-ed day school operates a K-12 campus in Fort Lauderdale and a K-8 campus in Boca Raton. The bonds will be used to finance or refinance all or a portion of the cost of construction, renovation and equipping of various capital improvements, and to fund certain costs of issuance related to the bonds. No county funds nor its faith or credit will be pledged to pay the principal, premium, if any, or interest on the bonds.

FAC – accepted Mayor Dave Kerner's resignation from the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) and agreed to send a letter nominating Commissioner Gregg K. Weiss to replace Mayor Kerner on the FAC board.
