At the Jan. 4, 2022 Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action:

Administration – received and filed proof of publication of the advertisement of the adopted ordinance redistricting the boundaries of the seven county commissioners as required by the Constitution of the United States, Constitution of the State of Florida, Florida Statutes and the Federal Voting Rights Act.

Received and filed the updated Board Directive Reports, which includes in process and completed board directive items.

Approved the purchase of at-home testing kits up to $500,000.

Facilities Development & Operations – named the east recreation room at the West Jupiter Recreation Center to “The Edna W. Runner Youth Activities Room."

Approved an amendment with the West Palm Beach Housing Authority for the Cottage Homes Project extending the deadline to Mar. 14, 2022 to complete the permitting process due to unforeseeable delays it has experienced during the permitting phase.

Financial Management & Budget – approved the re-estimated Infrastructure Surtax Project Plan; and approved a budget transfer of $51,904,273 in the Local Government One-Cent Infrastructure Surtax capital project fund to fund various capital projects.

Parks & Recreation – approved a lease between the Port of Palm Beach District and the county for approximately 42 acres of land on Peanut Island; and approved a budget transfer of $100,000 from Zone 1 Park Impact Fee Reserves to the Peanut Island Coast Guard Redevelopment project.​
