​At the Nov. 22, 2022, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action:

Office of Financial Management and Budget – Approved a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds for workforce and affordable housing units) in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed two hundred million dollars ($200,000,000) for the purpose of financing all or a portion of increasing workforce and affordable housing in Palm Beach County. Workforce and affordable housing units will consist of the acquisition, construction, and equipping of condominiums, multi-family rental units, single-family homes, and townhomes. Projects can be mixed-income and mixed-use; however, bond financing will only be available for the eligible housing units that meet the County requirements. Projects may be financed by combining other funding to create rental and homeownership opportunities for households earning up to 140% area median income.

Strategic Planning & Performance Management Division's Cross Departmental Teams gave presentations to the board on the different strategic priorities of the county.

The Budget Division presented projections for the Fiscal Year 2024 budget.

BCC- The current board finished old business and said farewell to Mayor Robert Weinroth and Commissioner Melissa McKinlay. A board room at the new Palm Tran headquarters was named for Mayor Weinroth because of his dedication to transportation issues in the county. A facility for transitional housing, Lake Village at the Glades, was named Melissa's Place in honor of Commissioner McKinlay's work on housing in The Glades.

Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller Joseph Abruzzo swore in two new commissioners and one re-elected commissioner to the board. Commissioner Marci Woodward, District 4 and Sara Baxter, District 6 joined Commissioner Gregg Weiss on the board.

Commissioner Gregg Weiss was elected Mayor for a one-year term and Commissioner Maria Sachs was elected as Vice Mayor. ​
