At the Nov. 7, 2023, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action on the regular agenda:

Administration – received and filed the updated Board Directives Report, which include in process and completed board directive items.
Observed a moment of silence for Palm Tran Executive Director Clinton B. Forbes, who passed away suddenly Nov. 2.

Airports – approved a $1,396,545.04 amendment to the general consulting agreement with AECOM Technical Services Inc. for continued services related to the approved Palm Beach County Airports’ Capital Improvement Program.

Equal Opportunity – postponed receiving and filing the multi-year Small/Minority/Women Business Enterprise (S/M/WBE) utilization report and authorized a two-year extension to update the S/M/WBE program disparity study.
Approved a preliminary reading and advertisement for a public hearing on Nov. 21, at 9:30 a.m., regarding the S/M/WBE program ordinance.

Facilities Development & Operations – approved the purchase and sale of a 1.5-acre parcel of vacant land located north of Indiantown Road and east of Bee Line Highway from James Jean-Francois. This is an interior parcel located in an area known as Palm Beach Heights (part of the Pal-Mar Ecosite). The Pal-Mar Ecosite is part of a large ecological greenway that stretches from just west of the Atlantic Ocean to just east of Lake Okeechobee.

Housing & Economic Development – approved the HOME American Rescue Plan Program award funding of $2,438,634 to the West Palm Beach Housing Authority to construct 1400 Henrietta, an 18-townhome rental development in West Palm Beach.
Approved a submittal request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to convert the Neighborhood Stabilization Program 1 income of $3.5 million to the Community Development Block Grant funds for the Gramercy Park Neighborhood Center project.

Palm Tran – adopted a Public Transportation Grant with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Transit Corridor Development Program funding of $1.1 million to provide operating assistance for the Port St. Lucie Express Regional Transit Pilot Program.
