Administration – By a vote of 6 -0, received and filed the updated Board Directives Reports, which include in-process and completed board directive items.

Airports – Approved an amendment extending the Airport On-Demand Ground Transportation Services agreement with 4R Services at the Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) by six months, increasing per-trip fees to $3.50 per trip; and approved the issuance of a Request for Proposals for one concession agreement for on-demand taxicab services for PBI.

Approved the General Consultant agreement with EXP U.S. Services Inc. for a term of two years with three one-year renewal options for $1,308,859.55 for the performance of airport facilities and systems consulting services related to the Airports Department’s Capital Improvement Program.

Approved a resolution providing for an increase to the transportation network company per trip fee at PBI.

Facilities Development & Operations – Directed staff to pursue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to consider the future use of a portion of the county-owned 20-mile bend property for an off-highway vehicle park, a racetrack park or a combination thereof.

Approved agreements for the purchase and sale of four parcels of vacant land located north of Indiantown Road and east of Bee Line Highway. These are interior parcels located in an area known as Palm Beach Heights (part of the Pal-Mar Ecosite). The Pal-Mar Ecosite is part of a large ecological greenway that stretches from just west of the Atlantic Ocean to just east of Lake Okeechobee.

By a vote of 6-0, directed staff to move forward and apply for building permits by December 31, 2023, for the Canyon District Park project.

Approved by a 6-0 vote,  the purchase and sale of ten parcels of vacant land located north of Indiantown Road and east of Bee Line Highway from Cory James Beaton for $1,303,537 plus closing, title insurance, documentary stamps, and recording costs estimated to be $15,675. Mr. Beaton sent a counteroffer to staff confirming his willingness to sell to the county all of his real estate holdings in Palm Beach Heights conditioned on being compensated at 10% over appraised value for the road frontage parcels. These parcels are also located in the Pal-Mar Ecosite.

Housing & Economic Development – approved, by a 6-0 vote, the issuance of Palm Beach County Housing Finance Authority Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds for $14,250,000 for the Village of Valor.

Approved, by a 6-0 vote, the issuance of Palm Beach County Housing Finance Authority Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds for $27,000,000 for Calusa Point II.

Planning Zoning & Building – By a vote of 5-1 directed staff to oppose the annexation by the Village of Wellington, including the annexation of certain county-owned parcels into the Village, at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
