At the Jan. 23, 2024, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action on the regular agenda:

Administration – Received and filed, by a vote of 6-0,  the updated Board Directives Report, which includes in process and completed board directive items. 
Appointed, Cathleen Ward, by a vote of 4-2, to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County Board of Directors.
Approved, 6-0, the sun setting of the Bio Science Land Advisory Board.

Airports – approved, by a vote of 6–0, amendment No. 2 with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for the continued performance of professional planning and design services in the amount of $1,897,269 related to the PBI Capital improvement Program, and approved budget transfers.
Approved, by a vote of 6-0, the renewal of a Term Contract for Maintenance of Airport Facilities and Systems with ERMC Aviation LLC in an amount not to exceed $1,188,815 providing for improvements to the passenger boarding bridges and purchase of a mobile landing bridge for use at PBI. 

Facilities Development & Operations – Approved, by a vote of 6-0, contract for a pilot program with Centegix for the installation, implementation, and maintenance of an emergency notification system at two County buildings.
Authorized, by a vote of 6-0, a conveyance of the County’s interest of a 3’ wide bulkhead area located under the Blue Heron Bridge to the State of Florida Department of Transportation at no cost.  
Approved, by a vote of 6-0, amendment no. 2 with Kaufman Lynn Construction, Inc. establishing a Guaranteed Maximum amount of $8,978,522 for the Lake Lytal Aquatic Complex – Phase 2 Site Development project.

Housing & Economic Development – Approved, by a vote of 6-0, a Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus allocation in the amount of $452,000 for the rehabilitation of the Senator Philip D. Lewis Homeless Resource Center providing six beds for persons with medical necessities.
Approved, by a vote of 6-0, a Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus funding up to $1,611,767 to Harper Court Housing LLC, and to directed staff to negotiate funding agreement.
Approved, by a vote of 6-0, resolution endorsing and supporting the “HOUSING FOR ALL” Palm Beach County’s Housing Action Plan prepared by the Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County.
Directed and authorized, by a vote of 6-0, staff to proceed with a of voter referendum on the August 20 ballot, reauthorizing the Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption Program for an additional ten years.

Palm Tran – approved, by a 6-0, the submission of a grant application in the amount of $1,840,568 with a required match of $204, 508 to the Florida Department of Transportation. The application would cover the purchase the estimated cost to replace 11 paratransit vehicles.
