At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 2, 2024, Commissioner Baxter presented a proclamation declaring April 29 - May 3, 2024 as Small Business Week in Palm Beach County. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, there are more than 33 million small businesses in the nation, 2.8 million small businesses in Florida and 68,399 small businesses in Palm Beach County. The county’s Office of Equal Business Opportunity is committed to monitoring the conditions affecting small businesses while serving as their advocate, and during Palm Beach County Small Business Week, it will celebrate and recognize the contributions and importance of small businesses on the local economy.
