The PBC Board of County Commissioners (BCC) presented the Building Division staff with a proclamation declaring the month of May Building Safety Month for Palm Beach County.  

 Thank you Commissioner Marci Woodward for sponsoring the proclamation and the BCC for their support! 

 This year's mission is “Mission Impossible!"  Building safety is a comprehensive mission that can only be accomplished by working together for positive changes. 

• All communities need building codes to protect their citizens from hazards like fires, weather-related events and structural collapse.
• Building codes are society's best way of protecting homes, offices, schools, manufacturing facilities, stores and entertainment venues.
• Building safety professionals, including code officials, work day in and day out to keep the public safe.
