​At the June 20, 2017, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board took the following action:

District Park – approved a conceptual master plan for North County District Park and authorized staff to negotiate a long-term contract with the city of Palm Beach Gardens for the funding, construction, operation and maintenance of an active park on 50 acres (Phase 1) of an approximately 81-acre county-owned park site located east of Central Boulevard and north of 117th Court North.

Office of Resilience – adopted a resolution creating the Office of Resilience to serve as a resource, catalyst and advocate for the county's climate resilience planning, implementation activities, and sustainability efforts. The office will be initially staffed by the Climate Change and Sustainability Coordinator transferred from County Administration and two environmental analyst positions transferred from Environmental Resources Management.

Tellus Products – approved an ad valorem tax exemption of up to $850,000 over a 10-year period for Tellus Products, LLC. Previously known as Project Tiger, Tellus is building a manufacturing facility in the Glades region that will use a proprietary process to produce molded packaging products. The agreement requires Tellus to make a capital investment of at least $40 million and create 71 new jobs over a five-year period at an annualized average wage of $50,000 excluding benefits and a median wage of $40,000. The five-year economic impact is estimated at $162 million.

Lynn University – adopted a resolution approving the issuance of up to $25 million in Palm Beach County Educational Facilities Authority bonds for Lynn University to finance capital expenditures at its Boca Raton campus. No county funds, nor its taxing power, faith or credit are involved.

Roads – approved on first reading and to advertise for public hearing on July 11 mid-year revisions to the Palm Beach County Five-Year Road Program.

M Canal – adopted a resolution reflecting terms of a resolution to a conflict between the city of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County and the Seminole Improvement District regarding a license for the Seminole Pratt Whitney Road bridge over the city-owned M Canal in Loxahatchee.

Storage tanks – approved a 10-year contract with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for Permitting and Compliance Assistance Program. The contract allows the county's Department of Environmental Resources Management to continue to perform pollutant storage tank compliance activities on behalf of FDEP for the period of July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2027.

Housing Authority – certified the Palm Beach County Housing Authority's Annual Agency Plan as being consistent with the Palm Beach County Consolidated Plan.

Audit Committee – approved revisions to the duties and responsibilities of members of the Palm Beach County Internal Audit Committee to clarify the panel's advisory role.

Internal Auditor – approved revisions to the duties and responsibilities of the Palm Beach County Internal Auditor. The Audit Committee recommended the revisions to align professional qualifications of the Internal Auditor with the position's requirements in the Palm Beach County Charter and to clearly establish the authority of the Internal Auditor and staff to have access to county records, property and personnel.
 
Interns – recognized students who are participating in summer internship programs with the County Attorney's Office, the Clerk & Comptroller's Office and the Board of County Commissioners.
