The Citizens Advisory Committee on Health and Human Services (CAC) was established in 1990 by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners.

Its mission is to assist the Board of County Commissioners in the assessment of need, planning, implementation and evaluation of a System of Care, as defined within the Palm Beach County Comprehensive Plan - Health and Human Services Element.

The Committee consists of eleven members with at least one member being a resident west of 20-Mile Bend and at least one member being a representative of the Palm Beach County League of Cities.
