In 1977 Community Action staff began attending Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) training, conducted by the Internal Revenue Service. Since that time, staff and volunteers have assisted thousands of low-income families prepare their tax returns.

Trained bilingual staff and volunteers are available at all Service Centers to provide this service.
