Eligible households can receive up to $5,000 to cover the required costs of: first and/or last month’s rent; rental security deposits; and utility deposits and connection fees. Eligible households may receive assistance through this program only once. Financial assistance will be provided only to those households who are currently seeking affordable rental housing. This program will not reimburse any household or pay on behalf of any household who has already moved in a rental property, or who has already executed a rental lease.

To apply for Rental Housing Entry Assistance (REAP) funding, you must first complete an official application and submit it for review. No appointment will be accepted without first completing an official application.

Applications can be also acquired and completed application can be dropped off locally at Palm Beach County Human Services Division Area Offices located at:

Completed applications may also be hand-delivered to one of the area offices listed above.
ONLY APPLICATIONS THAT ARE COMPLETED IN FULL WITH ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED WILL BE PROCESSED.

Note: Completing this application does not guarantee that you will be eligible for the SHIP/REAP funds. Also, be advised that the earliest that the forms can be dated is March 29, 2010.
