  • Certified Florida Yard Evaluation – Yards evaluated by volunteer yard advisors to determine if they are compliant with the guidelines established for a “Certified Florida Yard”

  • Mobile Irrigation Lab – Your irrigation system’s water efficiency is evaluated by an employee from the Natural Resources Conservation Service. The system can be calibrated to apply ¾”- 1 inch of water per irrigation application. Suggestions are made how to solve some of the sprinkler system
    inefficiencies, which will save money, resources and enhance plant growth. Call 561.683.2285

  • Mulch & Compost from the Solid Waste Authority (SWA) – Location: Jog Road north of 45th St. There are 2 large concrete bins full of materials free for the public to take by pickup truck load or to fill containers or trash bags.

  • Mulch from Florida Power and Light (FPL) – Call to get on the mulch list. When tree crews are in your area and have a load they will deliver it to you. One word of caution, the loads are usually large and you will get whatever has been cut recently. The green mulch will need some time to break down so it does not burn the plant roots

  • Mounts Botanical Garden – guided tours for school groups, residents and tourists. Call 561.233-1757 to reserve a scheduled tour or visit the garden on Saturdays at 11:00am or Sundays at 2:00pm to enjoy a guided walk given by a volunteer tour guide
