- Palm Tran Unveils New Bus Stop Signs
Palm Tran, Palm Beach County's public transportation system, is updating its 3,200 bus stop signs and poles throughout the county. Palm Tran is replacing older signs that are not as customer friendly, especially for disabled customers.
- Osprey Point Golf Course Designated First Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary in Florida
The county's Osprey Point Golf Course, located in the South County Regional Park, has been designated as a certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary. This is the first designation of this kind in the state of Florida, the second in the United States and the fifth in the world.
- ERM Needs Volunteers
Environmental Resources Management needs volunteers to help on three dates in August at various locations. To register for one of the volunteer events, call 233-2426.
- Explore a County Natural Area at Your Local Library
The Department of Environmental Resources Management (ERM) has installed natural area displays inside several county branch libraries to let people know about the environmental treasures located throughout Palm Beach County.
- County's Largest Group of Yard Advisors Ready to Recognize Your Yard
The Palm Beach Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the University of Florida IFAS, administers the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program that encourages the use of environmentally sound practices to create beautiful yards and gardens while protecting precious resources and saving costs.
- Okeechobee Blvd. at Tamarind/Parker Closed Until Mid-August
Until August 15, drivers entering and leaving downtown West Palm Beach via Okeechobee Blvd. will need to find an alternate route.
