Delsa Bush is a law enforcement official and has been employed with the City of West Palm Beach since 1983. She is the mother of two children, Bristol 22 years old and Yasmine who is 11. Delsa was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi and came to Florida at the age of 4. Delsa is one of seven children and has always been a "family first" person. Her mother was an inspiration to Delsa during her formative years and was greatly responsible for who and what Delsa has become today. During her early teen years, Delsa attended school full time and maintained a job to help support her family.

Delsa strongly believes in education so after graduating from high school, she attended college obtaining her Masters Degree and is currently seeking her PhD at Lynn University. At an early age, Delsa realized that she needed to get a good education in order to succeed in fulfilling her dream.

Ms. Bush began working as a patrol officer for the West Palm Beach Police Department in 1983. She continued her experience at West Palm throughout the years rising to the ranks of Captain and Assistant Chief of Police before becoming the 2004 Chief of Police. She is an active member of the Girl Scouts of America, National Organizations of Black Law Enforcement, and the American Heart Association.
