Palm Beach County Revolving Energy Fund Loan Program
Now Accepting Applications

The Economic Development Office is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for our Revolving Energy Fund Loan Program. The Program will offer low interest, fixed rate, long term loans for local businesses to reduce the cost of doing business by implementing energy saving building retrofits and/or renewable energy projects. Economic Highlights

 
  • Palm Beach International Airport passenger traffic totaled $5.6 million for the 12 months ending 5/31/2002. The PBIA 24-gate jetway opened in October, 1988.
  • Tourists contribute $1.5 billion annually to the County's economy.
  • Palm Beach County ranks first in the state in cash receipts from agricultural marketing with $1.13 billion.
  • The western portion of the County is home to agricultural lands producing nearly 11 percent of the United States' sugar.
  • The Palm Beach County School Board is the largest employer in this County with more than 14,000 employees.
  • The Board of County Commissioners reduced or held steady the County-wide millage for eight consecutive years beginning in fiscal year 1989-90.
  • Palm Beach County is one of only two counties in Florida awarded double "A" bond ratings by both rating agencies.
