This subcommittee is evaluating the proliferation of exclusive international banking institutions in Palm Beach County and ways to attract a critical mass of international lenders. Discussions of existing conditions and federal regulatory policy between the Palm Beach, Miami and New York lending communities are aimed at the potential to create a core district of international investment in this county for film and television, the yachting industry, waterfront investment, cargo shipping headquarters, and "angel" technology business funds. The committee is contacting and interviewing international banking experts, identifying challenges to their recruitment and determining "best practices."
