Ranchettes Subdivision Paving Project
The Ranchettes subdivision, near Lake Worth Road and Lyons road in rural Palm Beach County, contains a number of shellrock roads.  Several residents of the area prefer to have these roads paved while others would like to maintain the rustic and equine flavor of the community.  The Palm Beach Board of County Commissioners, working with the Engineering and Public Works department, has been addressing the controversy by providing detailed information, obtaining cost estimates, and polling residents.

In a further effort to explain County policies and to clarify all of the choices in property assessments, the Engineering MSTU web page has been expanded with descriptions, links to legal documents and a number of questions and answers from concerned residents. All documents are posted under MSTU links on the left of this page.
