Coral Cove Park

Coral Cove Park 2 Coral Cove Park 1

Coral Cove Park is located on Jupiter Island in Tequesta. This enhancement project consists of the removal of exotic trees to enhance an existing mangrove fringe, the removal of spoil material to create an additional wetland shelf (300' length x 10' -20' width) and embankment, and the planting of red mangroves and salt tolerant native vegetation to provide fish and wildlife habitat.

The funding for this project is a cooperative effort between Palm Beach County and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) through the Indian River Lagoon Habitat Restoration and Environmental Education Programs Cooperative Cost-share Agreement. Total costs for this project is estimated at $35,978, which includes: $24,125 for construction costs; $8,468 for in-kind services; and $3,375 for contingency funds.
