Lake Okeechobee Connector

The Lake Okeechobee Connector/Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trailhead consists of 2 acres of land previously used in the cattle industry Situated between the Lake Okeechobee Dike drainage canal and Old Connor's Highway (Highway 98), this property is currently occupied by a small amount of native vegetation as well as an existing cattle corral.

There is an additional 2.46 acres of hammock situated at the previous rim of Lake Okeechobee across Old Connor's Highway, as well as two acres of former ranch land further east. In the future, these parcels will be connected by a greenway which eventually, will make up the western most leg of the Ocean-to-Lake Trail.
