The Development Review Officer or DRO process is the procedure through which land development proposals are reviewed by various County agencies for approval and compliance with and development regulations. This process is administered by the PBC Zoning Division. ERM is one of the core agencies that sit on the DRO that must certify projects for public hearing before the Zoning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners and certify site development plans prior to building permit application. ERM reviews all of these projects for environmental impacts and compliance with County Codes. ERM attempts to mitigate these impacts through conditions of approval or site plan modifications.
