A property tax exemption of $500 is available for individuals who are handicapped or disabled. To qualify, signed statements are needed from two physicians, not professionally related, indicating the level of disability. Forms are available from the Property Appraiser’s Office. Disabled Veterans need only provide a statement of disability from the Veterans Administration.
