"Local Treasures"

Through photography, painting and mixed media
and sculpture, Local Treasures
features works inspired by the flora, fauna and
natural places of Palm Beach County's unique environment.
Twenty-seven Palm Beach County artists were selected by the
County’s Public Art Committee based on their artistic merit
and how well the
Local Treasures theme is
reflected. The juried exhibitions are open to
all artists who reside in Palm Beach County. Artwork
selected is on loan to Palm Beach County during the
exhibition period.
The
changing exhibition program at Palm Beach International
Airport is supported by a grant by HMS Host. Selected works
are exhibited for four months, with changing cultural and
travel themes for every exhibition.
Seen
by upwards of 500,000 airport visitors a month, the
exhibitions are located on the Airport’s Level 2 in the Main
Terminal, across from the Traveler’s Lounge.
