The County has arranged for three (3)
different types of access agreements designed to provide non-County agencies
access to the County’s 800 MHz System. These agreements are:
allows for full time use of the Palm Beach County 800 MHz System for
intra-agency and inter-agency communications. The Agreement allows for
the activation of the talk-groups and radio ID’s reserved for the
agency. The agency will have to complete the Direct Access Interlocal
and pay the County the Start-Up fee, Maintenance, and
Renewal/Replacement fee per the Inter-local Agreement. The fees
charged to non-county entities are identical to those charged to County
departments.

The Interoperability (Common
Talk-Group) Agreement
allows for usage of
the County’s Common Talk Groups for inter-agency communication. The
Common TG’s are set up for inter-agency communication
and not for day-to day communications. The use of the Common Talk-Groups
is free to any government agency wishing to access them. The
County has arranged for 16 Common Talk-Groups for interoperability and
have designated 3 calling talk-groups that are monitored by the County’s
Emergency Operations Center, Sheriff’s Office, and County Fire Rescue. These
Talk-Groups are available to any public service agency wishing to
program these talk-groups for interoperability. Reprogramming
assistance is available upon request.

EMS/Hospital/Patient Carrier
Agreement
allows for full time use of the
Palm Beach County 800 MHz System for EMS Communications. The County EMS
dispatch will oversee the utilization of the County’s EMS Talk-Groups.
The requesting agency will have to complete the EMS/Hospital/Patient
Carrier Agreement. The EMS/Hospital/Patient Carrier Agreement is free
to any Public Safety agency wishing to access them. The County has
arranged for 10 MedCom Talk-Groups and one (1) Med Control Talk Group
for County-Wide EMS communications.
