his section of the Service Facility is responsible for seven hundred and twenty nine (729) audio/video systems comprised of ten thousand five hundred (10,500) electronic devices. These systems are comprised of intercoms, public address, access control, closed circuit televison (CCTV), sound system re-enforcement, recording systems and video systems. This section is also responsible for the repair and maintenance of Palm Tran’s electronic systems resident in the bus fleet (e.g., semi-automatic next stop annunciation systems, public address systems, mobile digital CCTV and electronic signs). In addition, the section maintains the highly sophisticated Judicial Center’s central recording system which is a one of a kind in the entire United States. Central recording is an integrated electronic system that is controlled remotely from the twelve courtrooms that it audio records and plays back courtroom proceedings. The system integrates four electronic sub-systems (e.g., Courtroom Sound Re-enforcement, Fiber Optic Digital transmission, Automatic Central Monitoring/Testing, Record Logging and Transcription Systems). This system eliminates the need for twelve court reporters and is operated by one employee. In addition, this group is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of the video conferencing suites used for video arraignment between Belle Glade and the Criminal Justice Complex at Gun Club Road. Further, this group has a plethora of audio/visual loaner equipment to support the BOCC, Administration and County departments for meetings and presentations.
