his section is responsible for installation, maintenance, rearrangements and repair of equipment associated with Local Government, Palm Tran and Emergency Medical Services radio backbone systems which are comprised of two thousand and seventy one (2071) radios. In addition, this group manages the alpha numeric (339 units) and digital pager services (1,977) for over twenty three hundred (2300) County employees. Radio system repair has become a very sophisticated science as a result of the integration of radio frequencies with programmable consoles, transmitter steerings, comparator and matrix control requirements associated with the dispatch of emergency medical services and fire rescue services.
