his section is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of ten (10) highly integrated electronic security systems comprised of Monitor & Control, Access, CCTV, Duress and Intercom. The Judicial Security System is the most highly sophisticated of these systems and requires intensive maintenance. At the heart of the Judicial Security System are four (4) Pentium computers that interface with thirty eight (38) programmable logic controllers and control two thousand (2,000) electronic devices comprised of panic alarm, cameras, monitors, controlled door locking mechanisms, motion sensors, intercoms and card readers. The Security Command Centers are the nerve centers for security and are staffed 24 hours a day. In addition to the Judicial Security System, this group maintains and repairs security systems in the North, South & Midwestern Government Centers, South County Courthouse, Emergency Operations Center, Medical Examiner’s Complex, PZ&B, Engineering and Animal Care & Control.
