Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Department Sections

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is divided into 4 primary sections or divisions, which are further divided into sections. Each division and section within is responsible for a particular aspect of the variety of duties performed by PBCFR employees. The primary divisions include:

Administrative Services:

This division contains Emergency Dispatch, the Customer Service Team, as well as the Career Development and Wellness sections along with Information Technology Services and sections related to Finance and Planning.

Bureau of Safety Services:

The Bureau of Safety Services (BOSS) provides programs that improve fire and life safety in our service area and has direct oversight of five department programs:

• Plan Review and New Construction,
• Existing Inspections,
• Fire and Arson Investigations,
• Community Education,
• the Community Assistance Team, and
• the Drowning Prevention Coalition.

Operations:

The Operations Division oversees the daily job-related activities of all firefighters and paramedics within the department as well as the Training and Safety division.
