ISO PPC Rating

Effective August 1, 2013 as assigned by Insurance Services Office Inc., i.e. ISO, ALL properties within 5 road miles of a Palm Beach County Fire Rescue station response area carries an ISO 3, Public Protection Classification. Properties outside of 5 road miles carry a ISO 10 Public Protection Classification. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is a paid professional fire rescue department, with 49 stations, and automatic mutual aide, with closest unit response, with other fire rescue departments within the county. Upon verified request, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will provide written documentation for submittal to your insurance company. This ISO PPC is for homes and/or businesses located within Palm Beach County Fire Rescue's jurisdictional area only. This includes Ranch Colony area in Martin County, as this area is covered by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue by contract with Martin Co.

Fee

Upon verified request, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will provide written documentation for submittal to your insurance company. As authorized by Table 1.14.7 of the Palm Beach County Fire Code, Ordinance #2011-013 there is a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) fee for this service. You will receive a separate bill/invoice for this service from Fire Rescue's Fiscal Division, after your letter is processed. This fee applies to all letters, including those provided to private homeowners, commercial land development applications, or any other request for site surveys intended to determine responding fire station and/or adequate water supply.

The Letter

These letters will identify the assigned fire station and distance to insured property in road miles, number of fire apparatus and GPM designation, and tanker truck information if applicable. ISO PPC rating for address letter is requested for. To complete a request for an insurance letter online, please complete this form, making sure to complete all fields. You may also request a survey by sending a fax to (561) 233-0057, or by calling (561) 233-0066. If requesting a letter by fax or by mail, please provide us with all of the following information: your name, mailing address, the property address for which you need the insurance letter, the best daytime phone number, and home phone number so we may contact you.

There is routinely a 10-14 day wait as Fire Rescue receives many letter requests. All requests are handled in the order in which they are received.

For fastest response have a fax number on your request, this may be your own fax or directly to your insurance agent, or broker, you will still receive the original letter in the mail. Letter's may not be e-mailed.
