  • The golf courses have a variety of positions and responsibilities to assist with daily golf course operations and customer service.  Shifts are available every day of the week.   Call each location directly for more information:  John Prince Golf Learning Center - Joe McNeeley at (561) 966-6666; Park Ridge Public Golf Course - (561) 966-7044 ext. 1; Okeeheelee Public Golf Course - Eric Garber at (561) 964-4653.

  • The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens has a year-round docent program for those interested in helping to educate the public about Japanese art, culture and gardens.  For more information, contact Docent Coordinator Anthony Roux at (561) 495-0233 ext. 410 or at aroux@pbcgov.org.

  •  Volunteer positions at the nature centers may include docents (exhibit and trail guides), ambassadors/greeters, animal caretakers and gift shop or front desk assistants.  Please call nature center staff for details:  Daggerwing Nature Center in West Boca - Danica Sanborn (561) 629-8764; Green Cay Nature Center in Boynton Beach - Eva Matthews (561) 966-7003; Okeeheelee Nature Center in West Palm Beach - John Welch (561) 233-1400 ext. 2. 

  • Some examples of volunteer positions and activities at county recreation centers include coaching, afterschool programs, youth sports programs, teen sports programs, recreation events, community special events and general office work.     Westgate Recreation Center in West Palm Beach - (561) 694-5455.

  • Volunteers are needed in therapeutic recreation for fun and energetic activities such as softball, kickball, dances and sailing. Volunteers work with staff in providing these activities throughout Palm Beach County for youth and adults with developmental disabilities.  A great attitude and basic knowledge of the activity is all that is needed to help bring enjoyment to others.   Interested volunteers, 18 years of age and older, can call Renata Watson at (561) 966-7022 for details. Volunteer Opportunities are also available at the Club Managers Association of America Therapeutic Recreation Complex and Gymnasium.  For more information, please call (561) 966-7088.

  • VSA arts of Florida - Palm Beach County promotes arts, education and creative expression involving children and adults with disabilities.  Enthusiastic hands-on volunteers are needed to assist instructors for visual and performing arts community-based programs.  For more information, please call Susan Fetner at (561) 966-7024 or Donald Perez at (561) 966-7026.
