  2. Are there any security or browser issues that we need to know about using the Online Submittal?

    This site has been designed for IE 5.5 and higher with Windows as the operating system. The site is best viewed on 800x600 screen resolution. Internet Explorer installs with a default security level of Medium. This level is sufficient to view the website and you should not be required to change any other security settings. The web site consists of pop up windows that could be blocked by pop-up blocker software. You may set the pop-up blockers to temporarily allow pop-ups or always allow pop-ups from this site.

    Note: ePZB Online Submittal will not work properly in FireFox.

  3. Can I use the Back button in Internet Explorer instead of the (2) back buttons in ePZB?

    No. It is recommended that you use the applications back button to traverse through the easy steps. This will prevent any loss of data entered on the screen. You can use the browser back button to traverse the website but will not be prompted to save any changed information.

  4. If I sign in under my user id online, will I see all the other applications that my colleagues have completed or started online from my company?

    Yes, you will be able to see all other applications your colleagues are working on that have been officially submitted to Palm Beach County Zoning Division.

  5. What happens if I cannot find the PCN or have an incorrect PCN while I am filling out the application online?

    The PCN entered is not valid. Please re-enter or verify the PCN with the Property Appraiser's Office by visiting their website. This can be done by using the PAPA button and providing the owner/address information in the search fields.

  6. What happens if I cannot view the required ULDC section for adding a variance request?

    Use the Contact Us page to send an email to the Zoning Division staff with reference to the ULDC section that you are referring to so they can respond to you in a timely manner.

  7. What does the change of color mean in the left frame under the Easy Steps

    The green color means you have completed that particular Easy Step, while the grey means you have not.

  8. Will the Existing Zoning field on the General Information Screen eventually be filled in automatically because of its associated with the PCN entered?

    Yes, this information will be provided by December 1, 2007

  9. Do I have to fill in the Easy Steps sequentially?

    No. You may fill in the information in any order you choose. See #7 above for further clarification.

  10. Is there a limit on the number of characters that can be entered in different fields on the application?

    Yes. If you exceed the number of characters, a pop up screen will appear to warn you that "Data exceeded the allowed number of character"...unfortunely you will have to reduce the number of characters enterred in the field.

  11. Can I attach a legal description to this screen or do I have to fill in the Legal Description?

    You can cut and paste text into the Legal Description field. If the document is in a PDF format, and you have Adobe Acrobat you can cut and paste from that document into ePZB.

  12. Can I attach more than one Consent form? And does the Required Documents just show the documents that I need to attach? 

    Yes, you can attach more than one Consent form.

  13. Why can't I view the documents that I have uploaded under "Required Documents"?

    To prevent any threat from viruses, the documents that are uploaded are subjected to virus scans. Once they are verified for any threats they will be made available for viewing on the "Required Documents" screen. It would usually take 2 hours for the documents to be available for viewing under "Required Documents".

  14. Will I be able to submit the application even if the "Required documents" is not completed?

    Yes, the required document step is not mandatory and the application can be submitted even if it is not completed. However, we encourage that all documents be part of the application at the time of submitting the application.

  15. If I complete the application online, can my customer sign in and pay online by credit card?

    No, the agent either needs to pay online or bring a check to our offices.

  16. Can we pay online using a check?

    No, only by using one of the following major credit cards, American Express, Discover or Visa.

  17. What is purpose of DRO Comment/Response Screen?

    Provides an applicant the ability to view comments on DRO applications for certification for public hearing or final DRO site plan approval as soon as each Agency finalizes them. This ensure applicant can begin working on responses to issues immediately once they can view the online.

  18. Can I see all the comments in a Report?

    Yes, once the applicant logs onto to the screen they have various options of how to sort the comments and issues. Once you have completed how you want the information displayed on screen you can select “Print Comments” at bottom of screen.

  19. How does the applicant know when they can enter responses to comments?

    On the top right hand corner of screen you will see “Response Open: YES", this means the applicant can insert responses. If it said NO you would not be able to respond.

  22. Why do I receive the “Data Not Found” message after logging and click on Response link?

    This means your registered email does not match the one in our database or the agent contact information wasn’t entered correctly on your submitted application. Please send an email to pzbhelp@pbcgov.org, so we can update your data.
