Commissioner Kanjian Participates in Windward Palms Grand Opening

Prior to presenting the proclamation, Commissioner Bob Kanjian speaks to the hundreds of senior citizen residents in attendance at the grand-opening ceremony.

Commissioner Bob Kanjian recently participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of a new retirement community, Windward Palms, located in his district on Military Trail between Le Chalet and Gateway Boulevards.

As part of his participation, he presented a proclamation from the Board of County Commissioners to the residents of Windward Palms. The proclamation acknowledged the tremendous contributions that seniors have made to our country and local community. It stated in part, "These are the people who have survived the Great Depression, fought the wars, built businesses and raised their families."

These senior retirement residences offer a valuable service to the community in providing our seniors with the benefits of good fellowship, encouragement and support.
