District 6 Monthly Forum Addresses Airports, Transit and Planning Issues

Commissioner Santamaria began his monthly forum series a year ago.

Commissioner Jess Santamaria hosted his monthly Community Forum on January 16 at the “original” Wellington Mall. About 50 west-area residents attended.Guest speakers included Airports Director Bruce Pelly, Palm Tran Executive Director Chuck Cohen and Planning Director Lorenzo Aghemo.

Discussion topics included the proposed airfield improvement project at Palm Beach International Airport, Palm Tran’s new program known as “The Link,” and the need for citizen involvement in developing a new Central-Western Communities Overlay to replace the former sector plan.
