Budget Forum Series Comes to Royal Palm Beach

Commissioner Santamaria thanks audience members for taking an active role in their government.

On January 23, District 6 Commissioner Jess Santamaria joined County administrators and staff at the fourth of five public input budget forums. About 50 west-central area residents attended the discussion at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center.

Their questions and comments touched on the need for continued or increased funding for the Cooperative Extension Service, workforce housing, economic development, cultural arts and recreation, public safety, and crime prevention programs such as youth empowerment centers.

Commissioner Santamaria thanked everyone for taking the time to become involved with their local government and the budget process.
