Commission Chairman Jeff Koons was on hand January 15 for a special preview of the Max Planck Society’s Science Tunnel at the South Florida Science Museum. The “tunnel” is actually a large tent filled with dazzling scientific video displays, hands-on exhibits and interactive stations.

The 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art expo has been shown in Berlin, Brussels, Tokyo and Seoul and is making its North American debut in West Palm Beach. To help promote its new bio-imaging research center under construction in North County, the research giant wanted South Florida to be the Science Tunnel’s first stop on this side of the globe.
