Commissioner Koons Conducts Meeting With Legislative Delegation

County Commission Chairman Jeff Koons conducted discussion at a joint meeting of the Board of County Commissioners and the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation held on Jan. 26 at the Norton Museum in West Palm Beach.

The meeting included a budget overview from the Office of Financial Management & Budget, a recap of the 2008 Legislative Session and a recap of the 2009A Special Legislative Session.  Discussion on the county’s 2009 State Legislative Program included economic development priorities, state budget and taxation policies, the appropriations process, requests for environmental appropriations and information on regional transit and public safety.
