Commissioner Santamaria to Host Glades Community Forum Feb. 29

Palm Beach County Commissioner Jess Santamaria invites residents and members of the news media to attend a special Glades Community Forum on Friday, February 29, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Technical Education Center, 2625 State Road 715 in Belle Glade. Guest speakers and discussion topics will include:

David Zechman, CEO, Glades General Hospital and the new general hospital;

Bevin Beaudet, Director, Palm Beach County Water Utilities and the new Lake Region Water Treatment Plant;

Brenda Oakes, Youth Violence Prevention Planning Coordinator for the Criminal Justice Commission and the new Glades area Youth Empowerment Center;

Ashley Tripp, President of the Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance.

Other topics and questions from the public will be addressed as time permits. Coffee and cookies will be served.
