In celebration of Bike Month 2008, come ride with us along the C-18 Canal management road between Sandhill Crane Access Park and Riverbend Park on March 15. This same route is a soon-to-be-enhanced Northeast Everglades Natural Area (NENA) corridor expected to open in late 2008. It will be a five-mile-long multi-user trail with curves, a new surface, landscaping, a shade shelter and other amenities.
Directions to Sandhill Crane Access Park
Take PGA Blvd. west of Mirasol. We will depart the park at 9:15 a.m. sharp, ride along the C-18 management road to Riverbend Park and back, approximately 10.5 miles. Free water bottles commemorating the Department of Environmental Resources Management’s 20th anniversary will be given to the first 10 people to register.
