Fascinating Facts, Figures and Photos Now Available

Palm Beach County’s Department of Public Affairs has created an extensive Web site covering the entire historic restoration process of the 1916 County Court House located at 300 N. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. The Web site provides comprehensive coverage of the complex restoration process that has brought the building back to its former grandeur. It contains a description of the entire process, from conception to completion, with photographic documentation and a video tour of the interior.

As you scroll down on the homepage, the interesting facts and figures provide statistics and photographs of specific elements of the exterior, interior and courtroom that were restored. The restoration updates began in January 2004 when the first brick was knocked from the old wraparound building and concluded in February 2008, shortly after the restoration was completed. Additional details on the Web site include a project timeline and information on history, architecture and funding.
