Scripps Florida Says Thank You

At the February 24 Board of County Commissioners meeting, Dr. Richard Lerner and Dr. Harry Orf gave a very positive progress report on Scripps Florida’s new headquarters in North County.

The 30-acre complex adjacent to FAU’s Jupiter campus features three state-of-the-art research labs. The complex will officially open on February 26. A number of public events are planned, including a ribbon cutting hosted by Governor Crist, a science symposium featuring talks by several Nobel laureates, and an interactive day of scientific demonstrations and tours for families.

Palm Beach County funded construction of the Scripps Florida facilities, which were completed on budget and ahead of schedule.
