County Plans Drowning Prevention Fund-Raising Golf Tournament at Trump

The Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County will hold its first fund-raising charity golf tournament at the prestigious Trump International Golf Club on Monday, May 1, 2006. The tournament will be held in partnership with the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.
The Coalition works to promote, develop and support training and community education efforts that prevent drowning, near drowning and water-related accidents.
Tax-deductible sponsorships are now available by calling Anna Plotkin at the Coalition at 561 616-7068. Proceeds from the sponsorships will be used to offer vouchers for free swimming lessons for financially qualified families that would otherwise have family members at risk. Pools accepting these vouchers are located throughout Palm Beach County.
Commissioner Warren Newell, a co-founder of the Coalition, urges community support for this worthwhile life-saving endeavor.
