G. L. Homes to Sponsor Drowning Prevention Fund-Raiser Golf Tournament at Trump

G. L. Homes of Florida will sponsor the first fund-raiser charity tournament for the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County at the prestigious Trump International Golf Club on Monday, May 1, 2006. The tournament will be held in partnership with the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.

"We are pleased to step up and support this worthy and deserving cause,” said Amber Castonguay, Community Affairs Director of G. L. Homes. “Drowning prevention is all about saving lives, and we will help in achieving the Coalition’s goal of zero drowning deaths."

The Coalition works to promote, develop and support training and community education efforts that prevent drowning, near drowning and water-related accidents. Proceeds from the sponsorships will be used for water safety education programs and vouchers for free swimming lessons for financially qualified families. Pools accepting these vouchers are located throughout the County.

Commissioner Warren Newell, a co-founder of the Coalition, expressed his appreciation to G. L. Homes and thanked them for their generous support of this fund-raising tournament.
