Commissioner McCarty Visits Mizner Park Construction Site

Commissioner McCarty recently took a tour of the construction site for the new Mizner Park Cultural Center located in the former Cartoon Museum at Mizner Park in Boca Raton.  The Commissioner was pleased to see the progress that is being made and was informed that the center should be ready by fall of 2008. 

Funding for the new Mizner Park Cultural Center was provided by the County through the $50 million Recreational and Cultural Bond referendum that was approved by voters in 2002.  The center will offer a wide array of activities/exhibits such as a black box theatre and gallery space for the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
