Reporters and photographers are invited to join the Department of Environmental Resources Management for a 10.5-mile round-trip bike ride along the C-18 Canal management road between Sandhill Crane Access Park and Riverbend Park. The ride is being held in recognition of Bike Month 2008 and also to bring awareness to the soon-to-be enhanced Northeast Everglades Natural Area (NENA) corridor expected to open in late 2008. The new connector will be a five-mile-long multi-use trail to include curves, a new surface, landscaping, a shade shelter and other amenities.
