Commissioner Greene Tours New County History Museum

On March 12, 2008, Commissioner Greene took a tour of the County’s new history museum.  The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum is located in the restored 1916 County Court House at 300 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach.

The museum includes permanent and temporary exhibits, each reflecting the influence of the many cultures of the County’s diverse history from the earliest Native American inhabitants to the present day. 

The museum will open on March 16, but visitors attending the Court House grand-opening ceremony on Saturday, March 15 can take a tour.

The museum contains many historical artifacts including this child’s desk from the first school in Palm Beach County, ca. 1900.
