Commissioner Kanjian Attends Dedication of County Court House

On March 15, 2008, Commissioner Kanjian attended the grand opening of the newly restored 1916 County Court House.  The well-attended event included guest speakers, a performance by the Santaluces Community High School chorus and the ceremonial cutting of a ribbon with images created by local school children.  There was also a display of antique cars from the early 1900s presented by Sunny T’s of South Florida Ford Model T Club, and the West Palm Beach Historic Trolley offered 20-minute tours of nearby historic sites.

After the ceremony, guests took tours of the new Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum located on the second floor. Admission is free, and the museum gift shop is inside the main entrance at 300 N. Dixie Highway.  The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
