The Palm Beach County Department of Public Safety’s Division of Emergency Management has activated the Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Plan for the Western Communities. The following cold weather emergency shelter will be open beginning at 7 p.m. today (Monday).

Transportation can be arranged by dialing 211 (Palm Beach County Crisis Line). Residents seeking refuge from the cold in western Palm Beach County should contact their local police department, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (561-996-1670) or dial 211.
The National Weather Service predicts a temperature of 40oF or a wind chill of 35oF or lower for at least four hours in the area affected.
The Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center will continue to monitor weather developments and make announcements on any further shelter openings as necessary.
